Aan het kanaal Meppelerdiep en vlakbij het unieke watersportgebied van Giethoorn vindt u onze verbouwde, ruime en eenvoudige vakantieboerderij.
De vakantieboerderij is een ideale accommodatie om tot rust te komen met een groep of om er juist actief op uit te gaan. De uitstekende service van de eigenaar, waarbij bijna alles mogelijk is, wordt door vele gasten die u voorgingen enorm gewaardeerd. Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien en kenmerkt zich door zijn eenvoudige en landelijke stijl.
De ruime indeling van de woning zorgt voor veel privcay en mogelijkheden om zich met een groep te vermaken.
Activiteiten
In en om de vakantieboerderij kunt u zich met jong en oud heel goed vermaken. De vakantieboerderij heeft een luxe bad, sauna, tafeltennistafel, schommel en een barbecue. U kunt bij slecht weer ook binnen barbecuen op de deel (achterhuis). Rondom het huis heeft u veel ruimte en privacy, waar u zich prima kunt vermaken op bijvoorbeeld het terras of in de tuin. Voor het huis is een groot grasveld, waar u allerlei sporten kunt beoefenen. Enkele meters verder bevindt zich het Meppelerdiep, met prima zwemwater, surfplanken (zonder zeil e.d.), een roeibootje en goede visplekken. Er zijn buiten goede faciliteiten om zelf een vuurtje te stoken in de vuurkorf, zonder extra kosten (hout aanwezig).
Boerderij
Naast de vakantiewoning vindt u de boerderij van de eigenaar. Indien u dat op prijs stelt leidt de eigenaar u graag rond op de boerderij, kunt u kalfjes voeren of meerijden op de trekker.

Omgeving
De vakantieboerderij ligt in het gehucht Baarlo met een prachtige omgeving. In Baarlo liggen, naast het veebedrijf van de eigenaar, nog een boerderij, twee woonhuizen en een ander vakantieboerderij. Het karakteristieke dorp Zwartsluis ligt op enkele kilometers afstand. Dit is een prachtig dorp met een mooie recreantenhaven en markante huizen uit vervlogen eeuwen. Een heerlijke plek voor watersporters, want Zwartsluis heeft rechtstreekse verbindingen met de Friese en Overijsselse meren en het IJsselmeer. Vanuit Baarlo verkent u per fiets natuurgebieden als De Wieden, Olde Maten en Nationaal Landschap IJsseldelta. Op ruim 10 kilometer afstand ligt het traditionele kerkdorp Staphorst.

About
‘Vakantieboerderij Baarlo’ is a group accommodation for 24 persons and has 12 sleeping rooms. It is situated in the hamlet Baarlo (municipality Zwartewaterland).
Description
At the canal Meppelerdiep and close to the unique water sport region of Giethoorn, you’ll find our restored, spacious and simple farmhouse.
The accommodation is a great place to come to rest with a group or have a active vacation. The house is a popular destination for family reunions. The great services of the owner, which makes almost everything possible, have been appreciated greatly by previous guests. The house is well equipped and is characterized by its simple, country style. Do not expect an exuberant equipped accommodation, but a comfortable and cosy interior with good facilities.
The spacious interior of the accommodation provides much privacy and is very well suited to entertain yourself with a group.

Activities
General
In and around the accommodation nobody has to be bored. The house contains, amongst others, a luxury bath, sauna, table tennis, football table, swing, barbecue and a firepit. In case of bad weather, it is possible to barbecue inside the house. Around the house, you have a lot of space and privacy, where you can entertain yourself for instance on the terrace or in the garden. Before the house, there is a big grass field, where all sorts of sports can be exercised. Several meters ahead is the canal Meppelerdiep, with fine swimming water, surf boards, rowing boat and excellent fishing spots. Last but not least, there are good facilities to light a firepit outside, without extra costs (wood available).
Farm
The farm of the owner is situated next to the accommodation. If you appreciate it, the owner loves to show you around on his farm. You can also feed little calves or join the farmer on his tractor.
Watersport
In case you would like to take your own boat with you or want to rent a boat close to the accommodation, it is sensible to inform on the availability and tariffs of the moorings previously. You can moor your boat on two places in Zwartsluis. The marina of Stichting Recreatiecentrum Zwartewater at Zwarte Water (lake) (www.watersportzwartsluis.nl/jachthaven.html) and the marina De Kranerweerd at Meppelerdiep (canal) (www.kranerweerd.nl/jachthaven-2/ligplaatsen/).
The unique water sport region of Giethoorn, which can easily be reached by car, offers various ways to entertain on the water. Many tourists rent a little boat in Giethoor (also know as the ‘Dutch Venice’) to enjoy the gorgeous nature and the characteristic houses along the water side.

Area
The accommodation is located in the characteristic hamlet Baarlo in a gorgeous area. In Baarlo are, in addition to the farm of the owner, another farm, two houses and another holiday house located. The village Zwartsluis lies within a couple of kilometers. This is a beautiful village with a nice recreational harbor and striking houses from bygone centuries. A great place for boaters, since Zwartsluis has direct connections with the Frisian Lakes, lakes in Overijssel and the IJsselmeer. From Baarlo you can discover nature reserves as De Wieden, Olde Maten and Nationaal Landschap IJsseldelta by bike. The traditional parish Staphorst lies about 10 kilometer away from the accommodation. Last but not least, the town Meppel in the province Drenthe is located within 10 kilometers from the vacation home.
